She made our entire stay in the emergency room nothing short of amazing.
Maci is an exceptional nurse who made a meaningful difference in the care of multiple patients and families. These are the heartfelt comments shared about her:

1. She had a great disposition and was very nice. Something so simple seems harder to find as time goes by. When you encounter it today, it’s very much appreciated!

2. Maci was very patient and caring with my 15-month-old daughter, despite her feeling bad and being very cranky. She showed so much love and compassion toward us in just a short amount of time. She provided adequate information and very timely care. In a situation where I felt unsure of my choice to bring my daughter to the ER and felt like I was wasting their time, she reassured me that I did the right thing.

3. My son is a four-year-old who has struggled with asthma since the time he was born. His lungs have been compromised since his first year of life, when he had COVID four times. During our whole emergency room stay, Maci was very attentive, answering all of my questions and being very patient with my son. Even during the process of putting in an IV, she was very patient with him. The same for his nose swabs, despite him not wanting to do it. She was patient, understanding of his discomfort, and incredibly kind. When we found out we were being admitted, my son was not very enthused, but Maci made it very exciting for him. She explained that they had toys and a whole playroom upstairs, and that she would make his pass in front of the fish so he could see them. Another thing she did was find things in common with my son, sharing pictures from her recent hunting experience and just talking with him. She made our entire stay in the emergency room nothing short of amazing.

4. My nurse treated us like family. She made sure my baby had everything he needed and made sure he was very comfortable.

5. My son came to the ER with very high blood sugar levels. He was scared, worried, and didn’t know what to expect from our ER visit. Ms. Maci, his nurse, took her time, was very patient with him, and explained everything she was doing and why. After a long, busy day shift and a waiting room full of people, she still took her time and treated him so well. Thank you, Ms. Maci!!

6. My nurse was very kind and caring. She had a smile on her face the entire time she was in my room. She made coming to the ER not so scary.
