One of the worst days of my little family’s life was when we learned our baby no longer had a heartbeat. I was 4 days away from being 6 months along, so I had to deliver my baby boy. I had no idea what to expect. We were terrified. When I arrived at the hospital, all of the nurses and doctors were amazing. They all took great care of me, but one really stuck out, and that’s why I am nominating Shelia Alley. She took time to explain everything going on, she answered every question my husband and I had. She tried so hard to make my husband and me feel better when we didn't know what was coming. She was so kind to us both. We delivered our baby boy and she treated him like he was her own child. She put his little clothes on him and tried to get the perfect set of little foot prints. I can never thank her enough for how gentle she was with his tiny little body. She talked us through every step after we delivered and she let us keep him as long as we wanted. She showed so much love and kindness at such a terrible time in our lives and for that I’m thankful.
