Her presence was a blessing during one of the hardest times of our lives.
As a daughter who has watched my mom suffer so much over the last year, especially in the final weeks as she battled pancreatic cancer, Cosette’s kindness and compassion meant more to our family than I could ever express. Her presence was a blessing during one of the hardest times of our lives.
Cosette took the time to give my mom what she lovingly called a “spa day,” and it was one of the most heartwarming moments I’ve witnessed. She washed her, shampooed her hair, applied lotion, and gently massaged her feet and legs. Watching my mom smile and truly enjoy that care, after so much pain and hardship, was a gift I will hold onto forever. Cosette made her feel cherished, comfortable, and dignified.
Cosette was also incredibly patient and informative, taking the time to address every one of our concerns, even beyond the hospital stay. Her compassion extended far beyond basic care. Some people simply fill positions, but others are truly called to the work they do. After seeing Cosette in action, there is no doubt she is living her calling.
“Spa days” were something my daughter used to do with her grandma, and being unable to be at home during this stage made the moment even more meaningful. Cosette helped create a beautiful, memorable experience on what would be my mom’s last night before surgery. She cared for her with such gentleness and respect in these final stages of life, and I will never be able to thank her enough.
My dad had already told me how wonderful Cosette was over the phone, and I am so grateful I got to witness it myself. It was refreshing, inspiring, and comforting all at once. Not to mention, Cosette was incredibly responsive to the call light, something that makes a huge difference when your loved one is fragile and scared.
She even went out of her way to bring my mom ChapStick, mouth swabs, and offered to brush her hair, never once making it seem like a bother. Cosette has a genuine servant’s heart, and we are forever grateful for her compassion, her patience, and the dignity she provided our mom.
