Sam met my wife and me when we were admitted for induction, and right away, Sam treated my wife and me as if Sam had known us our whole life. Sam brought us back to our room and got my wife settled in, and started the induction. When Sam came in the room to check on my wife, Sam came in with the biggest glow and warm feeling. Sam explained things so well to my wife about how everything was coming along and what to expect next.

When Sam came to check vitals and see how my wife was doing, we talked about life and our kids and got to the point where we felt like we were truly friends. When it came to the time for my wife to get an epidural, Sam helped her by making sure that she felt heard and comfortable in a time of overwhelming emotions. And then when it came time to deliver our baby girl, Sam coached my wife through so well, and everything went so smoothly and so fast we couldn’t believe it was over already. And then when Sam went to get the doctor and a second nurse for the final pushes, they all came back in with a glowing warmth, and it was a wonderful experience.

After that, my wife was able to see her placenta this time and really enjoyed the experience. Sam stayed and helped my wife and baby girl make sure that she latched on for breastfeeding, and helped my wife feel comfortable with it and understand it better, and set her up for success. And then Sam's shift ended. We cannot thank Sam enough. Sam truly went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Sam is amazing. We will always remember Sam.
