She gave me exactly what I needed—comfort, confidence, and expert clinical care.
DAISY nurses have been the light of hope and healing during dark and difficult times, and Loveth is the embodiment of everything this award represents.
After a long day in pain and confined to bed following surgery, Loveth entered my room and quickly recognized that something wasn’t right. She immediately noticed that I had not produced much urine and took the time to question me with compassion and attentiveness. When I explained that I had to push to urinate, she didn’t rush to offer more medication or a straight catheter—even though I begged for it. Instead, she calmly removed my scopolamine patch and encouraged me to ambulate, knowing that was the right path for my recovery.
She was firm, yet so kind and patient. In that moment, I knew I was in good hands. Throughout the entire night, she helped me walk and encouraged me to rest, remaining a steady, supportive presence. I have never seen a night nurse so busy, yet so calm and present. She gave me exactly what I needed—comfort, confidence, and expert clinical care.
I truly believe that because Loveth was with me that first night, my recovery was not only easier but far more successful than it might have been otherwise.
