Naomi provides exceptional care to all our homeless services veterans. She goes above and beyond to ensure that each one not only receives care but truly thrives. Her compassion extends far beyond her clinical duties; she has even helped move a veteran into a new apartment to make sure they have a safe and stable home.
Her dedication made such an impact that one of the veterans she cared for wrote her this heartfelt message of gratitude and inspiration:
“We celebrate and applaud all those private, personal, daily victories that only you know you’ve overcome. We thank you for showing up in the world today, for being here for us. May all your best dreams come true. Keep going till you get it right, your dream is coming to life.
Those challenges you’ve faced and overcome are your dream seeking to live life—your life—next. But just note this moment. As I live and breathe, there is hope yet… Sure, you can, of course, you can. A fired-up spirit is the fuel of light, which feelings propel the body to greater heights.
Regardless of the opposition’s appearance, we shall prevail. Indeed, we shall prevail. Inspirations touch deep inside, past those excuses that are invalid. Raise in use feelings of determination, valor, endurance, bravery.
Frequently, we’ve become engrossed in our daily routines and forget to feed our spirit. Recall, ‘stop and smell the roses.’ Sure, you can, of course, you can. That piece of music, that new movie, raises the spirit, an inside job. Spirit up into focus, into play now, in the zone, multitasking, smiling, going that extra mile, bringing the team to greater heights.
Reminders of the feelings, the victory, and those special, only-you feelings of greatness. To show up brightly in the world as you walked. Your brightness touched everyone with a smile. Inspired, oh yes, no doubt. Reminders of birds in flight.”
