I was a patient at your facility. I had the privilege and honor of being under the care of Jasmine Zelaya. She has warm bedside manners, professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I woke up from my sleep and wasn’t feeling well. Heart palpitations, nausea, etc. I kept it to myself because it was unfortunately something I experienced often for some years now, off and on. I was administered a potassium drip. During the drip, I experienced a sharp pain in my chest and a tingling sensation down the entire left arm. I began crying from the pain and began to panic because I didn’t know what was happening or why. I was afraid that I was having a heart attack, and I wasn’t going to make it through. I had never experienced this before. Jasmine rushed in with the vital sign machine. She had already notified the physician's stat. She talked to me, and she calmed me down. She talked to me the entire time as a distraction. She had patience and sympathy for me. She was very assured that I was going to be ok. Later that night, she came in to check on me to make sure that I was ok. Thank you, Jasmine, for being the epitome of what being a nurse is all about. Thank you for hearing my cries and calming my mind and spirit. Nurse Jasmine Zelaya YOU ROCK!!
