Her kind, friendly, positive approach helped ease my apprehension.
I was in the hospital for the second time within a month. During this time, I was being treated for a severe infection. I was told before being discharged that I would need to have a PICC line put in. I had never had one before and was very apprehensive of what this entailed.
Lyndsay Jaworski came to my hospital room to put the PICC line in. She explained the procedure and what to expect. Her kind, friendly, positive approach helped ease my apprehension. My questions were all answered. I was discharged from the hospital on Friday. On Saturday, I began receiving care from the home health care nurse to administer an antibiotic via the PICC line every 8 hours for 14 days.
A few days later, during the afternoon, I noticed a lot of blood coming from my PICC line site. I was unsure who to call at the hospital. I asked her if there was some way to contact Lyndsay and talk with her about what I should do. Within 15 minutes, Lyndsay called me. I discussed with Lyndsay about the bleeding, and she advised me to meet her at the hospital. A little over an hour later, I was in a procedure room. Lyndsay advised that the PICC line would need to be replaced.
Having just had the first PICC line put in 7 days ago, I knew what to expect, but still had some apprehension. Again, Lyndsay's kindness, friendliness, and positive attitude made replacing the PICC line so easy. I want to express my sincere appreciation to all of these people who make up this incredible team at Henry Ford. Their dedication and commitment to treating the patient are quite evident.

Lyndsay is a beautiful butterfly; I loved her bubbly disposition. She was amazing to work with. She lights up a room.

Lyndsay is the best. She puts patients and family first and at ease right away. She always has a smile and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is well taken care of. You can tell she is dedicated to patient care 100% of the time. It definitely shows how much she loves her job, which is so nice to see. My mother loves the fact that she always recognizes her and asks what is going on in her life. She remembers everything. We are forever grateful for her.
Thank you, Lyndsay!
