Last Wednesday, I awoke horrified to see my left eye full of blood. Scared and anxious, my wife and I went to the Philly VA for emergency care. Luckily, I was taken in immediately and triaged by friendly staff. One nurse stood out, Paul Adovas. Paul had wonderful bedside manners and went the extra mile to help me relax and lower my anxiety. He was friendly and made me feel much calmer. He seemed to genuinely care. He's skilled, knowledgeable, and a very positive and gentle nurse. I felt calm the entire time and was relieved when he stuck me with the needle to take my blood for labs. Before I was discharged, he explained the paperwork slowly and clearly. All I can say is that my ER experience was the best, and I can honestly say Paul made all the difference. It's now 4 days later, and my eyes are much better, and I'm feeling like myself again. Please let Paul know I'm sincerely grateful for providing me with outstanding nursing services. Job well done, Paul.
