My 86-year-old grandfather was admitted to the ICU for over a week until his condition worsened and he was transitioned to comfort care. After trying many interventions to improve my grandfather's condition, Micah quickly contacted the family to come to the hospital as soon as possible. Although I was only a few minutes away, Micah had already contacted the chaplain, who was in my grandfather's room to provide him company until family could arrive.

Micah immediately came into the room to explain my grandfather's condition and provided his full attention as he explained the next steps in transitioning to comfort measures. Before the rest of my family could arrive, he carried in extra chairs and ordered refreshments to make everyone as comfortable as possible.
