During a recent session, a therapist and I attended to a patient with multiple wounds and dressings along their left hip. When we assisted the patient in sitting up on the side of the bed, we noticed that the pads had become soiled due to seepage from the wounds. We promptly called for Matt, and he arrived in the room instantly. 

Matt was incredibly attentive to the patient’s needs. He cleaned the wounds gently while talking to the patient throughout the process and reapplying the dressings. He even went above and beyond by consulting with the doctor in person and bringing him into the room to discuss further lab work and a course of action. 

Matt’s attention to detail and his genuine care and compassion for his patient truly reminded me of why we do what we do. The wrap placed around the patient's lower limb was applied thoughtfully and not rushed; it reflected a commitment to ensuring the patient had the best possible hospital experience. 

Matt is an exemplary employee and should serve as a role model for the nursing standards expected from incoming nurses. Thank you for being a shining light, Matt!
