After she started the chemo, she kept a close watch on him, making sure she was nearby if he had a reaction.
My dad recently received his first chemo infusion at HRMC. He has been fighting prostate cancer for over 6 years now and ultimately decided that chemo was his next step. He was extremely nervous for his first infusion. As a charge nurse in the ER, I was able to come up to the infusion center for this treatment and witnessed Raeann being incredibly kind and comforting to him during this stressful time. She explained everything she was doing in great detail before starting. She took the time to listen to his questions and concerns before moving forward. After she started the chemo, she kept a close watch on him, making sure she was nearby if he had a reaction. She came by several times to check on him during the infusion as well. I have known Raeann for 10+ years, and I felt such relief and comfort when I found out she would be the one administering his first treatment. It was a great experience for all of us, and I appreciate her so much.
