I experienced a STEMI while caring for a patient in my own Emergency Department. With over thirty years in Emergency Services, I can say without hesitation that this was one of the most intense and emotionally charged moments of my life.

She immediately guided me to a room and took charge with calm, steady confidence. In a moment of personal crisis, she was a source of reassurance—never once revealing the emotion I know she must have been feeling.
