My husband is an amputee. He received the most kind and compassionate care from Tabby. On a particular day, he wanted to take a shower. Tabby jumped in right away to do it herself and reassured him he was no trouble or bother, and that's what she was there for. In general, that is the NA's role, but Tabby didn't let that stop or bother her. She also showed him kindness and compassion when re-wrapping his limb. He cried, and she reassured him it was okay and that he was doing so well in therapy as well as healing. Tabby is a nurse you will never forget because she truly cares for patients' physical and mental health. She is a nurse who is definitely a great example in her community of what being a nurse really means. She is definitely deserving of this award.
