I would like to nominate Holden for the DAISY Award for the incredible care he provided to my dad after his spine surgery. From the moment we met him, it was clear that nursing is not just a job for him—it’s his passion. Even though he was only my dad’s nurse for one day, his impact was lasting. He not only took exceptional care of my dad, but he also made sure our entire family felt informed, supported, and at ease. His compassion, knowledge, and ability to connect with people are truly remarkable.

What stood out even more was how he continued to check in on us in the days following, greeting us in the halls and asking how my dad was doing. His kindness and attentiveness didn’t stop when his shift ended. Beyond his skill as a nurse, Holden has a presence that brings comfort and joy to those around him. He made us laugh, reassured us when we needed it, and left a lasting impression on our entire family. I imagine he has never met a stranger—he’s the kind of person who makes everyone feel like a friend.

Holden is a true light at Stillwater Medical, and they are incredibly lucky to have him. He embodies everything the DAISY Award represents, and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this recognition.

Very friendly, went above and beyond to explain everything he was going to do and explain the medications. Great personality and is perfect for this job! Enjoyed having him as my nurse.
