I came into the L&D at 34 weeks 5days with my water ruptured and contractions only minutes apart. I was panicking, crying, and thinking it was too early; I can't do this. Naomi pulled me out of my spiral, coached me through the contractions, helped me when I had to get two spinals, and held my hand when we switched to general. She was my guardian angel who saved me from all the fears I had and went above and beyond in care, taking the time to also explain to my husband what was happening to help keep him calm and informed about the journey of having a baby early. Her compassion, empathy, and quality of care exceeded what was outlined in her job description. I will forever remember nurse Naomi, who helped me find my strength and confidence to have my daughter, who not only took care of me but also my husband.
