First, I must say that all the nurses and doctors in the hospital were professional and friendly from the moment I met them. However, there was always one person who stood above the rest, and that was Osayuwamen. His caring manner and his energy were contagious. He kept in touch with me by ensuring I was okay, and he took the time to explain every change in medication, every vital sign. He even made suggestions to ease my discomfort, such as putting ice in a Ziploc bag inside a pillowcase for my back. It is worth noting that his bedside manner is paramount. I know being employed in a hospital setting is challenging on most days, but the grace in which he performed his duties made me relax and not stressed over every test and or reading. Lastly, I know there will be people, no matter what you do, who are never satisfied or complain about everything, so it is important for me to highlight the positive when good is achieved and exceeded. I don’t know if this will be read by the powers that be, but I will still send it so you can see, or in this case, read that all the training communications between departments are being utilized in accordance with HIPAA regulations by Uma.
