A nurse I want to thank is Nicole Hieb. Nicole has been an amazing nurse and mentor since I started at Tel Hai. First days at work are always nerve-racking, especially when you’re the new person, but my first day was not like that at all because Nicole welcomed me with open arms. Nicole has taught me so many things over the past year working at Tel Hai, things I've never known before as a new CNA. Nicole is the most generous, caring, outgoing, positive nurse I've ever met. She’s always willing to help someone, especially her CNA aids with care with a resident. Nicole has helped me in so many situations, but there was one situation that really showed me how passionate she is with her work; it was a busy day, and we had a call out, and I didn't have a partner, but Nicole told me not to worry, and with no hesitation, she jumped right in to help me. That showed me, even in a difficult time, that she is someone you can count on. Especially when you're stressed and need someone to talk to, she’s always willing to listen and give advice. She is always going above and beyond with her work as an RN. I wouldn't be the CNA I am today if it weren't for her help and pushing me to achieve my goals.

I would like to nominate RN Nicole Hieb from the Meadowbrook floor for her outstanding compassion, dedication, and the help she gives every day she is on the floor. She always has a cheerful attitude. For example, she always says, “Today is a great day to have a great day!” She is always willing to help the staff she works with.

I would like to nominate Nicole Hieb for the Tel Hai DAISY Award. I choose Nicole because of the consistent, exceptional care and dedication she exemplifies every day she steps foot into work. Nicole goes above and beyond to help her teammates every day with any task; she would never ask another team member to do anything she would not do herself. Nicole will always step in to help out the nursing assistants on the unit to get the care done, even when she is doing her own nursing work. Nicole always is "moving and grooving" and always asking, "Is there anything I can do for you?"

Nicole consistently demonstrates professionalism in all her work; her communication and organizational skills are commendable. She is fearless and always ready to learn new things. Nicole is such a positive part of the nursing team, and I want to recognize her for everything she does to make the residents and staff very safe and supported. Nicole fully embodies all that it means to be a nurse! She is very compassionate, patient, and deeply committed to both residents and staff at Tel Hai.
