It would be a joy to have more nurses like Amanda at all facilities.

From the moment she saw me, she knew I was beyond scared. She was kind, explained everything in English for me, a nonmedical person, to understand. Gentle, encouraging, and I downright fell in love with her bedside manner, assurance, and professionalism. Please keep her on the staff. She is that extra caring nurse that every hospital should have.

I entered the hospital for a cancer surgery. Although apprehensive about my new diagnosis, I know the Lord promised He would be with me through it all. While waiting to be taken back to pre-surgery, suddenly, through the doors appeared the most beautiful Angel, and she called my name. I knew at that moment, the Lord had sent one of his best angels to take care of me! Her name was Amanda! She certainly has found her calling in a position where, with the Lord Blessing her and working through her blesses others! Her demeanor, compassion, and ability to explain what's happening and will happen remove the patient's anxiety. She introduced me and my niece and nephew to each person I would come in contact with during my short journey at the hospital. It was as if we'd known Amanda already! Her love for the Lord radiates from her, and it is very evident she loves what she does! Her kindness and "realness" put patients at ease. While in recovery, she still came to check on me and, as I was in so much pain, kept checking until they finally found the correct pain med for me, and she assisted my niece and nephew in getting me in the car afterwards, and I might add, had me laughing as we said goodbye! Thank you, Lord, for Amanda, an Angel who, for one brief moment, covered me with your Blessings! Amanda very much deserves the DAISY Award! Every patient should experience an Amanda in their lives!

Very warm and welcoming, unlimited knowledge and experience, was very personal and relatable, and a total pro. Represented the hospital at the highest level.
Amanda made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I could tell she loves her job and shows compassion for her patients. She helped lift my spirits and ease my mind about my surgery, which I was nervous about. It would be a joy to have more nurses like Amanda at all facilities.

Amanda assisted my aunt. My aunt had a lumpectomy that morning. Although she's still quite competent, my aunt is 80 years old, and this was her first time going through a sensitive surgery in her breast cancer journey. Amanda was patient and gentle. She took time to explain each procedure. My aunt was particularly nervous about her IV placement as she's typically a "hard stick". Amanda reassured my aunt that she would not hurt her unnecessarily. She nailed it on the first try! Amanda has a great sense of humor and a wonderful bedside manner. She kept my aunt calm and comfortable before her procedure. She kept me informed every step of the way. My aunt was a popular patient that day, keeping everyone entertained with her stories about her recent engagement and upcoming wedding. Amanda listened attentively but stayed on task! She made what could have been a stressful situation into a very pleasant experience. We are grateful to have had her on my aunt's care team. She is an exceptional nurse and spoke highly of your hospital's values.
