Lara Ferraco is being recognized for her exceptional leadership, compassionate care, and unwavering dedication to the Baptist mission. Lara stepped into the FSED Director role last year and has done an outstanding job leading with heart, excellence, and clinical expertise. She goes above and beyond to ensure that Baptist employees are not only supported but are thriving at their greatest potential.

On a personal note, Lara saw something in me, a regular staff nurse, and took me under her wing. She recognized my leadership potential even before I did. From the very beginning, Lara guided me with encouragement, consistent check-ins, and professional advice that helped me grow tremendously within the Baptist system. I once told Lara that I hoped to be like her one day; her example truly inspired me to pursue a leadership path. She did not let that statement go unnoticed.

Instead, she made it her mission to support me in reaching that goal. Her belief in me gave me confidence, and the tools she provided set me on a path to success. Today, I am proud to say that I have moved into an Assistant Nurse Manager position and have also been accepted into the Nurse Manager Academy milestones I would not have reached without Lara’s mentorship and support.

Lara exemplifies everything a DAISY Award nominee should be: a mentor, a motivator, and a true embodiment of compassionate leadership. Her dedication to her team is like no other, and I am incredibly grateful for the role she has played in my journey. Congratulations Lara!
