I am a nursing assistant at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. I have been at Abbott for 29 years. Stephanie Johnson has worked with me for nearly all of it. I have grown from her example, and I’d like to nominate her for the DAISY Award.   

I am blessed to have excellent coworkers throughout H-4000. I choose to nominate Stephanie Johnson for the DAISY Award because she is a great nurse who makes sure all our patients are valued and heard. Stephanie Johnson exhibits a deep compassion for patients, ensuring each individual receives not only the highest quality medical care but also the emotional support they need during their time of vulnerability. Her genuine concern for the well-being of patients is evident with every interaction, making a profound difference in their recovery and overall experience. Stephanie is real. She doesn’t rush patient care; she makes sure every patient feels important.  

Stephanie’s dedication to her coworkers is equally impressive. She consistently goes above and beyond to support nursing staff and nursing assistants on H-4000, offering guidance, sharing knowledge, and fostering a collaborative environment. Her positive attitude and willingness to lend a hand whenever needed have not only enhanced team morale but have also significantly contributed to a more cohesive and effective unit.  

It is rare to encounter someone who exemplifies such a high level of commitment and care in their profession. Stephanie Johnson is clearly a role model, and her contributions are recognized by her colleagues and patients. Her work is nothing short of extraordinary, and her impact is felt deeply by all who have the privilege of working alongside her.
