Rose provided the kind of leadership that turns uncertainty into opportunity.
I am honored to nominate Rose Szeles for the Nurse Leader DAISY Award for her unwavering support, mentorship, and leadership during a pivotal time in my nursing journey.
As I transitioned into a new role as Professional Practice Specialist for our outpatient infusion and took on responsibilities at multiple locations, Rose was instrumental in making this process not only manageable but deeply empowering, especially when stepping into a complex, multifaceted role. However, Rose provided the kind of leadership that turns uncertainty into opportunity.
From day one, she created a supportive and structured environment that allowed me to grow with confidence. She took the time to clarify expectations, outline workflows, and ensure I had the tools, training, and encouragement needed to succeed. Whenever I had questions or encountered challenges, Rose was accessible, thoughtful, and collaborative in her approach.
She acknowledged the complexity of the transition and reminded me of my strengths, helping me see my own potential even when I doubted it. Her calm, encouraging presence became a constant source of motivation.
Because of Rose’s leadership, I was able to step into this new role with confidence, clarity, and purpose. I believe with her support, I can continue to grow in the leadership role. By supporting higher education, she has empowered me to seek my MSN in the future.
