Mariah started working at HMC in the Spring of 2022 and she very quickly became one of our most valued and respected team members in the Operating Room. She has never shied away from any challenge. Instead, she faces it head on with humor, confidence, and grace. She is incredibly quick, smart, and savvy. She can tackle any situation with ease and professionalism while also maintaining a positive, fun, and always entertaining environment.

We have noticed these abilities time and time again with the most difficult surgeries, complicated patients, and surgeons who have the most specific or ever-changing needs and highest expectations. She doesn't bat an eye, forming stronger relationships and providing even better care to her patients. For two years, she has gone above and beyond to do whatever we ask her to do without complaint. It has never gone unnoticed, but it has definitely been under-recognized. She deserves more. She deserves to know how much she is valued by the hospital and her coworkers. She deserves to know that she is one of the best nurses I have ever had the pleasure to work with.

She deserves to know that she is a bright light in this sometimes dark and stormy place. She deserves to know that she is an amazing role model and mentor and an inspiration to those who work with her. She deserves to know that she is loved and admired and truly appreciated for all that she is. She deserves to know that our operating room is a much better place because she is in it, and that our world is a much better place because she is in it. We couldn't do it without you, girl.
