Amanda goes above and beyond for her patients and co-workers. I got called in to a busy shift on Labor and Delivery. When I ran and hopped on the elevator, I observed Amanda with a whole tray of little slices of cake and pies. When I asked her what she was doing, she shared that the patient she had just delivered had a baby on the same day as her prior child that was 6 years old. Amanda was taking the treats up to the patient’s room to celebrate the birthday of six year old. She was super surprised when we all walked in and sang Happy Birthday to her!!! It definitely made the mom's day as well! Amanda went above and beyond to purchase the treats with her own money and took the time to recognize this important day. The 6 year old girl will never forget this special event honoring her and I'm sure she will forever share this story with her little sister!
