I would like to nominate Channing for The DAISY Award in recognition of the many moments of outstanding nursing care I have witnessed. Most recently, Channing went above and beyond while assisting a pre-op patient who was visibly emotional before surgery. The kindness, empathy, and calming words Channing offered truly embodied the essence of compassionate nursing. In the moment, Channing demonstrated our core values by ensuring the patient felt heard, valued, safe, and genuinely cared for. It would be an honor to have someone like Channing care for any of my loved ones in the OR.
