My patient experience starts with the power of our small community and the connection I shared with Eden, who not only remembered me but also remembered caring for my mother some 20 years ago. Extremely touched by her recollection, I became much more at ease knowing she had already been a part of my family's medical care. Yet, 20 years later, we reconnect in a stressful time when now it's me who needs her most. I suppose you could say it was meant to be, comforting me in the hospital as once did for my mother all those years ago. Eden stayed by my side. She held my hand. And allowed me to continue holding hers while being. And as you can guess, it was who I saw first upon. You cannot place a monetary value on an experience such as this. I chose to stay in my rural community for my care and as a result, had someone come back into my life when it was unexpected, but needed the most. Her compassion and dedication to her profession go above and beyond any standard of health care. I am extremely grateful to have been under the care of Eden.
