She came in and immediately noticed my son was extremely jittery and jumped into testing and taking action for his care. His blood sugar levels were extremely low and she made sure he got the care he needed immediately. 
    
The photographer came in to take pictures while my girls were here. We all had matching outfits but we were in the middle of his testing and he needed skin-to-skin. I was very upset because I didn’t think we would get the pictures we were hoping for, and Lindsay ran to find the photographer and caught her as she was about to leave to make sure I was able to get the pictures quickly and safely for my son. The pictures turned out amazingly, and I have her to thank for that! She truly goes above and beyond for her patients and their families.  My two daughters (4 and almost 2) absolutely adored her. She took both girls down the hall for coloring books and colors to help occupy them during my son’s testing. She consistently checked up on me and made sure I was okay at all times, physically and emotionally. Every time we came back up from the NICU, she immediately came to check on me as well as asking about my son, even though at that point he wasn't her patient. She was teaching another nurse and explaining everything she was doing, and even made sure the other nurse was comfortable and understood everything that was going on! She’s a one-of-a-kind nurse, and she deserves the world for what she does for her patient! She exemplifies true bedside manner, and 100% cares for each and every patient. For a mom who went from thinking her perfectly fine newborn son was jittery because he was just cold, to him being sent down to the NICU, to all the emotions, fears, etc. that come with that, Lindsay was there every step of the way! There was never a moment that I felt alone, unseen, or unheard. She listened to every crazy question I had and answered them all with her expertise. I will forever be thankful and grateful for Lindsay! No other nurse prior to her recognized that anything was wrong with my son. All of them thought he was cold, like we did, we all thought he was just extra jittery when we changed his diaper because he was mad, but when she walked in, she knew something was off and immediately took care of him before it got worse. There is no telling what would have or could have happened if she hadn’t come in and been so attentive.
