Nurse Abigail was an exceptional professional! Definitely my favorite! She went above and beyond while caring for me for 2 days. She constantly checked on me, making sure my pain and nausea were under control. She was a huge advocate for me in my care and advocated on my behalf when I couldn’t. She was always so happy and quick to help me whenever I needed help. Besides performing her normal tasks as a nurse, she would always make me laugh and smile, even when I was feeling down and unwell. She didn’t just treat me as a patient; she treated me as a person. She treated me as if I were a friend or family member. She always made me feel heard and supported. She has a passion for this job that is truly evident – this is most definitely her calling! No matter how busy or chaotic the day was, she always went the extra mile to make me feel safe and cared for. I was so blessed to have her as my nurse. She took the time to get to know me, and I got to know her, which formed a strong bond between us. She is the perfect example of an extraordinary nurse! She is so deserving of a DAISY Award. She is literally an angel and one of the best nurses I have ever had! Nursing is a demanding job that is physically, mentally, and emotionally draining, but she always managed to maintain a smile on her face. Even though I couldn’t go outside, she, as a nurse, had such warmth to her and was a ray of sunshine! There are not enough good things I can say about her. Hopefully, this gives everyone a glimpse into the amazing nurse and human she is! I was truly blessed to have her!
