From the patient's mother:
I'm not sure if you remember, but my daughter, E, was born and spent a few weeks in the NICU. It has been quite a year for us since then, but E is doing amazing and started clapping last week. She is the happiest little girl. I wanted to write to you on her birthday because when I reflect on those first few weeks of her life, I will never not think of your kindness and sweetness. You made the time we spent in the NICU so much less terrifying. You are an incredible person and an amazing nurse, and we will never forget you. Thank you for everything you did for E and for me. All my love.

From Nurse Manager:
In the year and a half I have known Rosalie, I have watched her blossom into an exceptional nurse. She is caring, thoughtful, and kind. She approaches the care of our most vulnerable patients with gentleness and compassion, yet is always a strong advocate. Most recently, during some challenging shifts of high acuity and high census, Rosie demonstrated poise and calm. She reminded me of Tinkerbell- floating all over the unit, helping everyone, but always smiling! Constantly jumping in to help her peers- I never knew which patients were hers because she was helping to care for all of them. Whether precepting a new nurse or student, staying past shift to help, participating in shared governance- you can always count on Rosie.
Her smile is infectious, and she brightens up all of our days. You know when you see her- it's going to be a good day no matter what.
