From the moment Jethro became our nurse, everything shifted. He brought calm into the chaos.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Jethro Habaradas for the incredible care, compassion, and strength he showed our family during one of the most difficult times in our lives. My dad was suddenly admitted to the ICU in critical condition. It was a heartbreaking and terrifying experience; we were confused, emotionally drained, and completely overwhelmed. We didn’t understand the severity of his condition until everything spiraled, and we were faced with decisions and emotions we never thought we’d encounter so suddenly.
From the moment Jethro became our nurse, everything shifted. He brought calm into the chaos. Jethro not only cared for my dad with the highest level of professionalism and skill, but he also cared for us, my family, who were breaking in the background. Jethro took the time to explain every procedure, every medication, and every update with kindness and clarity. He answered every question with patience, even when we repeated the same ones over and over. He never once made us feel like a burden. When my dad was in pain or scared, Jethro was there, holding his hand, talking to him gently, adjusting his position, making sure he was comfortable. He noticed the smallest details, from a dry mouth to a shift in breathing, and acted instantly. He checked on him constantly, even when we thought no one was watching. During those long ICU nights, when everything felt dark and heavy. Jethro’s presence felt like a light. He brought comfort, strength, and even small moments of peace we didn’t think were possible. It felt like magic in the middle of heartbreak.
Jethro also checked in on us, asking if we’d eaten, encouraging us to rest, and reminding us to take care of ourselves, too. That level of humanity is rare, and we will never forget it. We didn’t get the chance to fully thank Jethro in the moment, but we want him to know just how much his care meant to us. Jethro, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the love and care you showed our dad, and for being there for our entire family when we needed it the most. You made the unbearable just a little more bearable. Your kindness will stay with us forever.
