Vivian came to my rescue to redo my IV because the initial one at my wrist had failed.
First of, everyone that helped was awesome! I truly believe that Vivian had a lot to with it as well because of her positive attitude and vivacious energy she led/guided the team of other nurses to be amazing in their roles.
I was in pain and uncomfortable arriving at the ER and then was admitted. It was unplanned and an unpleasant feeling because I have my babies at home and my students at work that need me. My husband brought me because he knew this was what I needed.
Since being admitted, Vivian introduced herself, logged on my whiteboard, and went through what I needed to know while being here. It was helpful because I shared the information with my husband and when I needed reminding the board was an excellent reference.
Later, Vivian came to my rescue to redo my IV because the initial one at my wrist had failed. She did it right before my surgery. Job well done under pressure. Then, she learned that I had consumed some liquid less than 20ml. She spoke to me and reminded me of the reasons for the reminder. The manner in which she spoke to me was not bad. I knew about it, but I would probably do it again because I was too parched. This was the reason we couldn’t find a good vein either.
At the end of the day, Hats Off and on behalf of my family and friends, a huge thank you for your service!
