My son has severe autism. He is non-verbal with severe APD/SPD. I am unsure if Idalia has previous training or experience in behavioral health, but she seemed to instinctively know how to treat him. She asked questions, and it was obvious that his comfort was her highest priority. Even though he was a little manic that day (long drive, new doctor's office... these things are always daunting for him), she relaxed him and put us both at ease with her apparent expertise. She even produced a fidget (a manipulative used in occupational therapy to occupy and focus those with sensory issues) for him while we waited for the doctor! This was the easiest appointment we've had since moving here eight years ago, and it was ENTIRELY due to her.
