John has the biggest heart and this is just one of the many patients I have seen him go above and beyond for in the 6 weeks that I have known him. He is a beacon of light in his patients’ lives and every patient that he has thinks the world of him.
John is a phenomenal nurse who cares deeply about his patients. We recently had a patient who was under the care of another nurse and was placed in the facility that John also had a patient in. This patient was in a compromised situation and was in horrible pain and distress. John jumped right in, got this patient the medications that she needed, held her hand, and talked to her, even though she was unable to communicate with anything other than moaning and screaming. Then with the help of our team we were able to get the patient placed into our GIP hospital-based unit where she was able to receive the level of care that she needed to be able to pass peacefully.
During the time that the patient was at the facility, before moving to our hospital-based unit, John sat with the patient, talking to her and trying to calm her until transport arrived. John has the biggest heart and this is just one of the many patients I have seen him go above and beyond for in the 6 weeks that I have known him. He is a beacon of light in his patients’ lives and every patient that he has thinks the world of him.
As his preceptee I have heard all of his patients dote on him during every visit. They tell me how I’m being trained by the best, and how I couldn’t have a more wonderful and caring person to train me. It’s such an amazing feeling to know that I am being trained in this area of nursing by someone who has so much love and care in their heart for their patients and just for others in general. He truly sees the best in everyone and in return, I believe that God helps others see how wonderful John truly is.
