The patient was very frail and afraid her handwriting would not be legible, and asked if I minded writing something up for her. 

The patient has a very complex medical history, including pain management issues, and had surgery at St. Luke's. The patient struggled with breakthrough pain between pain medication administrations. Trisha was excellent about writing her next pain med time on the board, bringing them on time, and when the pain was excruciating, she sat at the bedside and held her hand, helping her with deep breathing techniques. She also tried helping her with repositioning and distracting her with conversation. 

This patient was a nurse herself, at one point in her life, she stated nurses like Trisha really do make a difference. She was very thankful for Trisha taking the time to help her through her stay.
