My daughter was admitted to UC Health. She was feeling really awful and Hilary was our nurse. My daughter was dealing with a bad pneumonia and also pancreatitis. That weekend  my daughter was quite sick and in a lot of pain. Hilary spent so much time attending to my daughter's needs. She would massage her belly and try to relax her. She would sing and dance with her. Hilary would also advocate for my daughter when she felt necessary. I need to explain why this is a big deal for us. My daughter is non verbal, medically complex, and has significant physical disabilities. At the age of 23 we had only had experience with Children's Hospital, so switching to a new hospital was a little scary. My daughter has received excellent care here specifically due to fabulous nurses like Hilary. Not everyone knows how to interact with my daughter, but Hilary took the time to learn her "language" and keep her smiling. We are very grateful to have had her as a nurse during our week long stay. Thank you Hilary for taking such excellent care of our precious daughter!
