Paige went above and beyond to care for our son and the whole family. She got to know us and would pop in to check on us even if she was not assigned to us for a shift. She explained all of the tubes and equipment so that it felt less intimidating and scary. We felt empowered to participate in our son's care. She remembered everyone's name and what role they played in our family. One time, we had to leave for a while, and she came in and snuggled with our son to keep him from feeling lonely. Any time she comes into the room, our son looks to her and grins. She identified my mastitis and suggested lactation to help with my milk supply. She is also an incredible and encouraging teacher for the new nurses in training. I've watched her coach new staff through procedures, and she explains step by step. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Paige, her dedication to her patients, and her care for the entire family. She is a gem. I cannot imagine anyone more deserving of this award. COA is lucky to have her!
