Monica was an angel to me the day I was discharged. After being in the ICU for 4 days because I went into DKA, she made sure that I was comfortable going home and caring for myself. She taught me how to prick my finger and take my blood sugar, as well as teaching me how to administer my insulin shots and where. If not for her, I would have had a mental breakdown when I got home with all of my new medication. Thank you for seeing me, Monica. I’ll never forget you.
