I recently gave birth to my second daughter at Frederick Health Hospital, and the experience was nothing short of incredible, largely thanks to Nurse Jessica Dustin. From the moment we met her, Jessica went above and beyond for me, my husband, and our new baby girl. Her kindness, compassion, and professionalism made a lasting impact on us during our recovery. Jessica was not only knowledgeable and attentive, but she also brought a sense of warmth and genuine care to every interaction. She made me feel comfortable, safe, and supported every step of the way. It was clear that nursing is not just a job to her – it’s a calling. As we spent more time together, we discovered we had a lot in common – a shared love for horses, local ties, and more. This personal connection made the experience even more memorable. But what truly stood out was how she treated us like family. She anticipated needs before we even voiced them, always checked in with a smile, and made sure we were cared for emotionally as well as physically. Jessica made a difficult and vulnerable time feel manageable and even joyful. Her presence was a gift during our hospital stay, and I can’t thank her enough.
