There are truly no defining words to describe Trevor’s stellar skills, demeanor and compassion that encompass his A+ care and abilities to prepare us for end of life.
There are truly no defining words to describe Trevor’s stellar skills, demeanor and compassion that encompass his A+ care and abilities to prepare us for end of life. His extraordinary professionalism was demonstrated with each visit, each interaction and each thoughtful response to my husband's difficult end of life questions.
He would ask Trevor to, “Give it to me straight, man to man…what is it going to be like?” “Don’t sugar coat it, what’s dying going to be like?” Trevor demonstrated dignity and respect by giving facts, reflective communication, supportive care and confidence building. He always felt listened to.
Trevor was stellar in his independent role in caring for us in our home. He not only focused on caring for him but he partnered with me as a caregiver. He reviewed medication, oxygen therapy, etc., helping us feel safe and wrapped in “bubble wrap” of care and the emotional gentleness of the end of life process.
He honored my husband's privacy and independence, yet always educated him on safety. My husband was such a private man and this meant so much to us. He educated us on the progression of physical assessments that indicated a weekly decline in a way that kept his mind focused on what mattered for his life transition. Thank you Trevor! You make a difference and we were privileged to have you in our life journey. Grateful!
