Lindsay Hernendez was the best nurse ever. She understood that my pain was real. She stood up for me when the doctors were not listening to me. She never doubted me and my feelings. She comforted me during many panic attacks. She made me laugh even when joy seemed never to come. I was a patient on Thanksgiving, and she made it so special for me. She cared more than anyone. When she was my nurse, she would sit and watch shows with me. When she was not assigned to me, she would pop into the playroom to see how I was doing. She even colored and made a bracelet with and for me. I made one for her too. She even stayed after hours to comfort me when I was alone. She reminded me every day that I was doing amazing. There was a chance I would not go on my Disney trip. But with her encouragement, I made it! She was there when I pulled out my NG tube.
