The moment you walked into my room, you changed it from a cold, impersonal, uncomfortable room to a safe, secure, warm, caring place. I get teary every time I think about it. You knew what I needed before I asked. You suggested ways to make me more comfortable. You were cheerful and lit up a room. Love, peace, and joy are some of the attributes of the Holy Spirit, and you shine with them. I am crying as I try to write this; the thought of the comfort you give in a cold hospital still touches me! You are a great nurse! All the things I wrote are above and beyond the regular nurse duties! She also washed the puke out of my hair, got me out of an adult diaper and onto the bedside toilet, cleaned my glasses, and helped me brush my teeth. She also cleaned and made my bed, and reangled my leads on both arms so I could move. She answered call lights, talked with me, and made me feel human again. To have a stroke is a shocking experience; she brought me back to earth, and what a lovely landing!
