By noticing these details, like the bag tangled around the patient’s ankle and the risk of fall, the nurse prevented a potential disaster. Walking the veteran through the situation and walking the patient to his car and educating him about his pain medication was also an incredible, thoughtful touch, ensuring he would be better informed and safer going forward.
