She’s dedicated to her work and motivates anyone she comes into contact with to strive for greatness.
We would like to nominate our Nurse Leader from 6 front for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award for the extraordinary compassion and care she provides during each shift we have together. She is not only attentive and highly skilled, but also incredibly kind and comforting to all staff and patients.
Ever since she started, I knew she would be a great leader. Her compassion and dedication for not only her patient care, but for advocating for the unit in terms of job satisfaction and teamwork, is nothing short of amazing. She is the voice and ears for both patients and staff members. She even started up our UBC a few months ago.
She executes the tasks of being a nurse leader well, but what stands out to me is her desire to create a positive workplace. She fairly advocates for each staff member regarding maintaining an even workload and teamwork. She objectively listens to help solve a problem or is a trusted person to vent to on hard days.
She always walks around with a smile on her face and is ready to help her patients and coworkers. She’s dedicated to her work and motivates anyone she comes into contact with to strive for greatness.
She’s a great nurse, leader, and preceptor. As a new nurse, she made me feel very welcomed and showed patience when teaching me and allowing me to learn hands-on with trust in me. She’s very compassionate and has been a great advocate for me.
She has been the absolute biggest joy to work with. She has helped me become the tech that I am now. She has become a safe place for me, and I know I can always seek her guidance and help. I know she will continue to be amazing and I know when I become a nurse I want to be a nurse like her.
She demonstrates what it truly means to be a nurse, not just through clinical expertise, but by leading with the heart. I am forever grateful and believe she embodies everything that the DAISY Award stands for.
