Stacy is so sincere, calm, knowledgeable, personable, kind, and you can tell she truly is doing what she’s supposed to be doing, being a nurse, the kind of nurse you want your mom, or dad, or loved one to be taken care of by.
I am going through a difficult time with my dad M. I found him Thursday morning and he had fell; I called EMS and he was admitted to Athol Hospital.
Thursday night, when I visited, Stacy was so kind and took the time to talk to me about my concerns about my dad. She remembered him from his being admitted in the past and agreed with me that his mental status was a bit off. I watched her and a CNA safely get him into the bathroom, and they were so kind and caring. Stacy was personable and made sure I knew I could call anytime to check on him.
Fast forward to tonight, Sunday. I had seen him earlier and was devastated, and his mental status has worsened. I also found out he was not being given a certain medication that you can’t just stop taking. I was told it was going to be addressed. I just got a call back, and his new night nurse is Stacy. She spent half an hour on the phone with me just listening to all my concerns. She agreed he had worsened from when she was with him on Thursday and Friday. She is addressing my concerns with the NP, including the medication that was supposed to be brought up to the doctor, but seemed not to have been earlier. We discussed some other things, and even though I am scared and sad, I feel like I may be able to get some sleep tonight knowing my dad is in such good hands. She made sure to note everything I was bringing up and even did a little research on some questions and thoughts I had about my dad's mental state. She reassured me again that I was not bothering her and could call at any time. She also told me they noticed he was having some incontinence and she’d be sure to make sure he stays clean, as this is also unlike him.

She made me feel like my dad was her only patient when in reality, I know that is not true, and how stressful the medical field can be. I am truly thankful for her during this difficult time.
