Lauren should never be underestimated. She has all of the above qualities, and even more. Lauren works crazy long hours and manages to keep nursing ideals afloat through passion for her profession and concern for her patients. Despite being short of hands, sleep, energy and bound by paperwork, Lauren was never short on caring.

Every time my door opened, and I saw her smiling face, I knew I was in good hands. She was endlessly patient with my questions, and I was in awe of her extensive knowledge about the procedure I had and of the prescribed medications. All were explained in a way I understood. Lauren's attention as a nurse is as important to me as that of my surgeon. She dispensed loving regard in an ethical and appropriate manner; she has a real feeling for the value of an individual. I will truly miss her as a person, and I feel so fortunate to have had her in my life. I'd love to see her win based on my letter alone, but in my eyes, she is already a winner, and her fresh-as-a-daisy attitude is an asset to the Good Sam staff.
