Our sweet T is five months old and was admitted to CCMC for the second time in his short little life. Since T has Down Syndrome, it can be challenging to truly know his baseline for oxygen, which means we need a complex plan of action to monitor him, rather than just throwing him back on oxygen the second he dips. Halle did an incredible job supporting and following T’s plan. She ensured all team members on the floor were aware of the plan so no one would throw off T’s progress towards going home. She was communicative with my husband and me and treated T like her own. For the first time during both hospital stays, I felt like I could take a deep breath and didn’t need to worry if I had to step out for a minute. Halle made sure T’s plan was followed. Halle went above and beyond, changing diapers, providing T with baths, helping us with feedings if my husband and I were changing shifts, and providing us with anything to make our stay as comfortable as it could be. She also ensured she communicated the plan with the next nurse coming on and would review it multiple times before her shift ended. We can’t thank Halle enough for the exceptional care she provided to our baby boy and for putting our minds at ease during a stressful time. She truly is a standout nurse, and we are so appreciative of her!
