She was caring and gentle. Because of her, I was able to sleep.
"I was admitted to the Aspen Hospital to be treated for postpartum preeclampsia, two weeks after my C-section. I stayed on the magnesium drip for 24 hours. On the first day, I stayed on the regular hospital floor, but in the morning of the second day, I was transferred to the labor and delivery floor, so I could take care of my newborn better there. The nurse MacKenzie was amazing!! I was feeling very sick from the magnesium. I had a migraine, dizziness, and I vomited. MacKenzie took care of me, gave me an ice pack for my head, warm blankets, filled up my water, etc. She was caring and gentle. Because of her, I was able to sleep. When she was doing the assessments, she was not waking me up, so I was able to rest and get better. She was amazing!!!! She deserves recognition!!"
