So many things that nurse Jenny did during our delivery touched our hearts and meant so much to us. I have a mental illness and have a service dog that I try not to rely too heavily upon. Since we were on the labor and delivery unit with other families, we wanted to be mindful and courteous of those who may not be keen on dogs. We arrived at our delivery room and had my PSD at home. We asked nurse Jenny if the dog wouldn't be too much of a distraction to others or impose; could we bring her onto the unit? Nurse Jenny did her part not only for us but the other patients and read the hospital's policy and also considered my mental health and gave us the clearance to bring our PSD. She made a world of a difference. Not only that but during my labor I told nurse Jenny that I hadn't taken any La Maz nor any birthing classes; when it was my time to push she simply and clearly told me what I needed to do. And lastly, which was appreciated most of all, was that during my time of pushing, she included my husband in the birthing process by having him assist throughout. Thank you, Nurse Jenny!!
