Ashlee took the time to listen to me, advocated for me, and ensured I felt heard. She went far beyond providing medical care—she assessed my mental health, offered emotional support, and guided me through the next steps in my grieving process.
Ashlee cared for me during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. I was in the Emergency Department experiencing my second miscarriage of the year, in significant physical pain and struggling mentally. I felt incredibly embarrassed walking into the building covered in blood, but the moment Ashley entered the room, she made me feel safe and comfortable. Because of her, I was able to move past my embarrassment and focus on receiving the care I needed. Ashlee took the time to listen to me, advocated for me, and ensured I felt heard. She went far beyond providing medical care—she assessed my mental health, offered emotional support, and guided me through the next steps in my grieving process. As a CNA and nursing student myself, I have worked alongside many caregivers, and I can confidently say that Ashlee is truly exceptional. I never once felt judged or like an inconvenience in her care. Ashley deserves recognition for her outstanding compassion and dedication, not only to me but to every patient she encounters.
Ashlee’s care for me on one of the worst days of my life has left a lasting impact that I continue to carry with me. Although my experience—suffering a miscarriage—was, sadly, not unique, the compassion, attentiveness, and humanity I received from Ashlee were truly extraordinary. She met me in a moment of overwhelming physical pain and emotional devastation with a level of empathy and kindness that went far beyond what I ever expected. Ashlee didn’t just treat my medical condition; she saw me as a whole person—broken, grieving, and scared—and responded with a depth of care that I will never forget. I can never thank her enough for what she did for me that day. Her patience, her ability to make me feel safe, and the dignity she preserved for me during a time when I felt so vulnerable made all the difference in my healing. Ashlee’s compassion reminded me why nursing is so much more than tasks and treatments—it's about being fully present for people when they are at their most vulnerable. Her example continues to inspire me both personally and professionally, shaping the kind of nurse I aspire to become. I hope to one day provide the same level of grace, strength, and compassion to my future patients that Ashlee so selflessly gave to me. She left a lasting impression on my heart, and I will carry her influence with me throughout my nursing career and beyond.
