She made it possible for them to wheel me to see my Mom for a bit, and then they came back and got me.
I cannot say enough good things about Sanju G! I'm emotional as I write this. I’ve never been in the hospital, and she was exemplary - a true model of what a nurse looks like. She was so busy, but never made me feel like she was too busy to care about me. She was so kind, sweet, and patient, and made me feel like she was truly here to ensure that I recovered well and was comfortable throughout the process. She was so personable, and she explained everything to me so clearly that it felt like she was a friend. She was already going above and beyond for me, that’s how it felt.
Right before my surgery, my Mom fell and broke her hip, in the hospital as she was walking behind me to the Operating Room. As you can imagine, I was so worried about her. She had surgery a few hours after I got to my room. A few nurses tried to ask if I could go see my Mom, as she was in another building, but they were told no. When I told Sanju my story, she could see how badly I wanted to see my Mom. She sent multiple messages and spoke to multiple people, and they were gracious enough to grant my wish. She made it possible for them to wheel me to see my Mom for a bit, and then they came back and got me. So appreciative to the nurses that did that, by the way!
The fact that Sanju did that not only made me happy, but it made my Mom so happy, who was in her own hospital bed, in so much pain, worried about me. She got to see that I was being well taken care of. I will never forget this experience, nor will I forget what Sanju did for me. In a moment of fear and in a life already so traumatic, she truly made it life-changing, in a good way. And she’s doing everything pregnant!! She is a literal superhero, and in my opinion, should be training new nurses around the world - she is the most amazing example of care, kindness, patience, and love. I feel so blessed to have had her as my nurse. Thank you for having her and giving her the world she deserves!
